What we fly

One camera, three different questions

The flying and the camera are the same each time. What changes is the question being asked: is the whole building losing heat somewhere, is a specific room cold for a reason, or is a flat roof holding water it should not be.

Thermal Roof and Building Survey

A radiometric thermal pass over the whole roof and elevations alongside a 100 megapixel visual survey, written up with what the temperature pattern actually shows within 48 hours.

  • Full roof and elevation coverage, visual and thermal, from the same flight
  • A note on the conditions the flight was flown in and why they were chosen
  • Every significant temperature anomaly located and matched to a building feature
  • A plain description of what each finding most likely means

Heat Loss and Insulation Gap Survey

A targeted thermal check on a cold room, a suspected patch of missing loft insulation, or a cold bridge at a wall junction, aimed at homeowners with a symptom rather than a vague worry.

  • A focused thermal pass over the room, elevation or roof area in question
  • A comparison reading from an equivalent, unaffected part of the same building
  • Loft and roof insulation gaps identified where the roof covering allows a reading
  • Cold bridging at wall junctions, lintels, extensions and party walls checked

Damp and Flat Roof Moisture Survey

A thermal check for trapped moisture beneath a flat roof membrane, aimed at landlords, managing agents and homeowners with an extension roof that never quite seems right.

  • A full thermal pass over the flat roof area in the right conditions for a moisture read
  • Extent and rough shape of any suspected trapped moisture mapped against the roof plan
  • Parapet gutters, upstands, rooflights and roof edges checked, which is where most failures start
  • A written report within 48 hours, suitable for a managing agent's file or a contractor's quote
